In October 2023, we conducted strategic review workshops aimed at evaluating the progress of our operations during the preceding year. These workshops were held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and brought together MEAL teams from partner offices worldwide. Additionally, we organised a special event to commemorate 20 years of humanitarian work in Sri Lanka, coinciding with the opening of a new office in Colombo.
This event welcomed prominent stakeholders from the humanitarian sector, including representatives from various government bodies, UN institutions, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and other entities and businesses.
We have been actively collaborating with the government to address humanitarian initiatives and explore potential partnerships for future development interventions. Notably, we engaged in insightful conversations with Eran Wickramarathna MP and Rauf Hakeem MP regarding development plans in the region. Moving forward, we aim to deepen our engagement with key stakeholders on future projects in the country, with a focus on addressing various thematic areas of need.
